Western Mass Tornado
So, it's no surprise that we were all hit with a rude awakening 2 days ago that "anything can happen," even something like a tornado that usually only happens in the south. Everyone was affected in some way from that devastation! We should all be so grateful that we still have homes to live in. Unfortunately, Nancy's car fell victim to the tornado, but luckily everyone is ok. Let it be a lesson to all of us not to take anything for granted, especially life.

To tube or not to tube....
I always knew that Mamahood would be a big responsibility, but I didn't realize all the stresses and worries that would go with it. I am battling a decision that seems like a no-brainer!
My sweet little girl has been dealing with ear infection upon ear infection since September. The current one has been since late March and did not want to go away. After 3 cycles of different antibiotics, she is finally starting to get better. I learned yesterday during her hearing test that she cannot hear. It saddened me to see her head turn the opposite way of the noise. Then at the test that checks the response to the eardrum, I learned that her ears are so filled with fluid that the eardrum is not responding either....You can imagine how much I wanted to cry when I saw that my 16 month old can't hear well, and I have no idea for how long.
After seeing the doctor, I am more confused than ever. He admitted that her hearing level is very low and she has lots of fluid...BUT he said that the decision goes either way. He could do the surgery and it will probably do wonders, but it could also possibly go away on its own. His suggestion was to give it a little more time and see. He said that if I choose to go forward with the surgery, he is all for it. He confessed that I live with her and see what she has gone through, so it's up to me. I reluctantly agreed to wait a bit, but I haven't sat still about this since. My gut strongly tells me that it will help her immensely. My feeling is that she has been going for possibly months without hearing, why torture her and keep it up. But, there's also the conservative side of me that is scared of putting my baby under anesthesia. Everyone I talk to that knows her history, thinks we should go for it. I'm torn.....Do I stand up for her as her mother and take the plunge or go the conservative route and wait a little while????

New Challenge
It's Sunday night, Amazing Race just finished and I'm reflecting on a day in which my son was celebrated by my amazing family and our closest friends.
It was an absolutely perfect day and we couldn't have asked for more!
You should have saw the way it started!..haha... (as I laugh to myself). Getting out of the house these days is no easy feat but by far the funniest today was my husband getting ready.
We get dressed up here and there to go out but he does not wear a tie on a daily basis what so ever. He always manages but today he wanted his tie to be perfect and they usually end up looking something like this:
Needless to say, this look wasn't going to cut it today. So while I was getting Keaton dressed and ready to go (actual pictures to come at a later time) He Youtubed "How to tie a windsor knot" and just kept getting fustrated because no matter how closely he followed, the tie still looked like this:
(I'm sure you get the picture) So I think my new challenge to myself is to learn how to perfectly tie a tie so I can do it for him!
What is your new challenge this week?

Friday Funday
Daycare was closed today which means a day off for mommy too! YEAH!!
Since Keaton and Molly go to daycare together, Kelli and I were able to plan a breakfast and Kristyn was home with Jacoby so lets just say it was a party!
It was great that the 3 of us were able to get together this morning because its hard to get together with all of our crazy lives.... Here is a look into our friday funday:
Cobeman making mommy's coffee "yummy" what you can't see is the butter, salt and pepper that is also mixed in :) He is so sweet and I could have spent the whole day with him!
Nugget just chillin' in his pink floyd t... this one's for you Auntie Jill!
Kelli and Molly... poor Molly not feeling too well!
Enjoy your weekends

I am THAT person..
That person who says they are going to blog and then something else comes up... like work, or house work, or the baby, or zumba, or or or I dunno, life in general I guess!
I did work on Krissy's challenge though. I started on a saturday because it was easier and have done it since.. Can I tell you that 1.) I hate self portraits 2.) 3 months after having a baby and I'm a frump 3.) I hate self portraits
But GREAT challenge Krissy.. Now I can really see what I look like before I leave the house (not that I have time to change but it's ok). I am more aware now and will maybe put better outfits together from the get-go.
So without further ado... let's get this embarrassing show on the road:
(all pictures were taken with a camera phone in awful light - plesae excuse the under exposure)

Jeans - Gap long and lean (which make me look neither)
Hair just pulled back blah....
My favorite accessiores for a Saturday (not pictured)
